The Uda Pussallawa tea-growing region is situated in the central highlands of Sri Lanka, with estates located at elevations ranging from 1,000 to 1,600 meters above sea level. Known for its misty climate and frequent rainfall, the region lies between the Uva and Nuwara Eliya districts and experiences both the northeast and southwest monsoons. These unique climatic conditions, along with the cool temperatures and sloping terrain, slow the growth of the tea bush, allowing for the development of refined flavor profiles. The soil composition and elevation contribute to the production of well-twisted, medium-sized leaves ideal for Broken Orange Pekoe (BOP) grades.
